This position reports directly to the President and is responsible for the following:
Daily:
1) Cash management-includes and is not limited to daily cash reconciliation, cash disbursements, management of cash applications process, internal/external cash transfers, cash balance management to conform to Bank/Parent company requirements.
2) Audit expense reports/general overhead invoices to ensure accuracy, code to proper account(s), and generate checks utilizing QuickBooks
3) Maintain petty cash box, ensuring that disbursements are properly recorded and approved with adequate supporting documentation. Replenish as needed
4) Interface with junior accountant to resolve open issues as they might pertain to but not limited to accounts receivables, shipping, invoicing, freight and duties review
5) Ad hoc analysis as needed.
Weekly:
1) Process accounts payable
2) Review aged accounts receivables with junior accountant/troubleshoot & resolve charge backs, credit notes and delinquent customer payments
3) Initiate cash transfers to Munich
4) Review customer holds due to non-payment with junior accountant/president
5) Oversee weekly shipping activity; ensure all documents/electronic files are received and are accurate. Follow up with Munich in the event of process failures
6) Enter into QuickBooks agency invoices for goods shipped
Monthly:
1) Complete borrowing base certificate, filed with Bank Leumi
2) File on-line past due accounts on Euler-ACI website
3) Perform month end close/reporting to Munich. Includes but is not limited to bank reconciliation, balance sheet tie outs, gross margin testing, advertising year to date analysis, accruals and variance identification and explanations
4) Inter-company reconciliation
5) Cash transfer forecast
Sample Sale Prep (quarterly)
1) Take physical inventory to ensure all previously recorded samples are still on hand. Report discrepancies to president and resolve differences if any
2) If needed, retag all garments based on physical inventory
3) Arrange for addition racks if need be (Millennium Rack Rental)
4) If off-site sale, confirm appearance of postcard with president. Internal sales requires review with sales administration
5) Create sample sale invoice.
6) Post sale, conduct physical inventory to ensure all goods have been returned. Return inventoried goods to storage, re-tag if need be.
Audit (annually):
1) Interface with auditors to lay foundation of annual audit.
2) Assemble all necessary documents to substantiate fixed assets additions/disposals
3) Prepare full commentary on aged receivables 120 days and over
4) Prepare 941/payroll tax reconciliation
5) Prepare rent analysis
6) Have ready full documentation to support all current assets/liabilities
Budgets/Forecasts:
1) Working directly under president, create budget/forecast template
2) Provide to president supporting schedules for budgets/forecasts with verifiable assumptions included
3) Prepare a management discussion & analysis for CEO, reviewed by president to discuss in detail significant assumptions regarding budgets/forecasts
Other:

4) Off-site sample sales
5) All overhead expenses
6) Customer markdowns
7) Customer returns
